In recent years, the San Bernardino Mountains and Lake Arrowhead communities were devastated by wildfire and extreme winter storms. Families lost homes. Cabins collapsed under heavy snow. Animals were displaced. Insurance gaps left many without adequate recovery support.

Cottage of Kindness was born from lived experience. From watching neighbors rebuild alone. From watching animals go without care. From realizing that rural communities often fall through the cracks.
